Following its launch in Japan and the United States, Sony has planned to sell a home base station capable of delivering TV programs to mobile devices in Taiwan, in order to begin testing demand in Asia outside of Japan. By connecting the base station with the TV cables at home, people can watch TV programs on their notebooks or handheld devices wherever there is Internet access. The device is expected to come out in Taiwan in January 2006, and later on in Europe and China.
